Fund Raising

As part of the national RSPB charity, the North East Hants Local Group raises funds for RSPB projects that benefit local and worldwide conservation, the environment, nature and wildlife projects.

Thank you everybody for your donations and allocations!

South east Regional Office

2017/18: Where will our donations go?

The group has decided not to allocate its donations to any specific areas of the RSPB's work. This gives the RSPB much more flexibility in how it uses the money we donate according to need and priorities.

Funds raised to date

Since1978 this group and its members have raised over £155,500 for the RSPB.

Raffles, members’ 100 club, selling RSPB goods and other activities at the indoor meetings, street collections and the annual Autumn Fair have enabled the group to enjoy a long tradition of making regular donations to the RSPB to support its conservation and education projects. The chart below shows how our donations have been allocated since 1995. The group also receives a soft credit when it recruits new members through the name gathering scheme. Inspired by the work of the RSPB,  some members currently raise approximately the same as the group each year through managing pin badge boxes.
